A very good deed by DWLC


The two species mentioned here are not protected under Section 30 of the Fauna and Flora Protection Ordinance.However,the culprits can be charged under Sections 49 and 49A of the FFPO.
The bird shown here looks like an immature Crested Hawk Eagle,a species that is protected under Section 30(1) of the FFPO.If it is a Mountain Hawk Eagle(which too can look mostly similar when immature),it is a Strictly Protected species under Section 31(2) of FFPO.
I am very happy to see this kind of raid,rather than making excuses about the “protected status” of species.
